German S98/05 pioneer butcher sawback bayonet manufactured by Waffenfabrik Mauser A.G., Overndorf and marked accordingly.
Blade spine is dated 1917 and bayonet display a number of acceptance marks on pommel, crossguard and spine. The wooden scales are not cracked or rotted but do show some signs of use. Blade is unsharpened. Bayonet is tight with no wiggle. Locking mechanism works smooth. No scabbard.
