Description
This is a WWI German Lion's Head Officer's Artillery Cavalry Sword and ScabbardThis sword, sometimes referred to as the model 1898, was the dress sword worn by Imperial German cavalry and artillery officers. The only difference between the two branches was that the artillery had crossed cannon instead of crossed cavalry sabers on the langet.
Manufactured by WKS with makers mark of a Knight in Armor. Blade: measures 30 3/4" long and is in excellent clean and polished condition with original factory tip and unsharpened. The guilt has 85% of it's finish remaining and the sword has an undamaged grip with brass braiding which wraps around black plastic handle.
Scabbard: measures 31" inches long with 85% of original black enamel remaining.
