Description
This auction is for a ~14 1/2 inch German WW I bayonet, called a butcher blade bayonet because of its shape.  It was made by and is marked “DUERKOPP WERKE A.G.”.  This mark is in a large triangle stamped on the blade along with a large “D”.  The attachment latch works and the blade finish is mostly bright.  This is an uncommon bayonet showing a style that was popular in WWI.
