VINTAGE THE PEDDLER CO. WOOD ALTO CLARINET ORIGINAL CASE ELKHART INDIANA 1950S

Description

Original Pedler alto clarinet, probably from the 1940/50s judging from the cases, not much info available on serial numbers.  last production was 1958, The co was sold to Selmer in 1958.  Made of Grenadilla or rosewood?  The serial numbers match on both pieces 22420. Has the original peddler hard rubber mouth piece with it . All pieces are original. I assembled it and the corks seem tight.  I see a repaired crack, looks like it was professionally done as it has been pinned. (see photo) . The leather pads on the clarinet look original maybe and appear to be in fair shape, maybe they need redone or maybe not look at photos. Some nice engraving work on the bell, I see one small ding( photo) . This is a fairly rare instrument.
