    . This 16" (41cm) authentic handcrafted drum beater/drumstick is created with reverence for materials provided by the animals, plants, and trees. The beater is handcrafted from the wisdom and knowledge of the ancestors.
    The handle and head are padded with natural cotton, covered with
    smoked brain-tanned buckskin,
    and secured to the cherry wood shaft with sinew. The buckskin color will vary.
    The wooden shaft/stick is 1/2" (1.2cm)

    Tachini is enrolled Navajo who grew up mainly on the Flathead Indian Reservation. His mother is Salish, an enrolled member in the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes. His father is Navajo, an enrolled member. Tachini has been involved in ceremony and spiritual practices his entire life. Tachini grew up around the drum. His parents and siblings are all singers and dancers at powwows and ceremonies. He has been making drums as a calling since 1991 with thousands of drums crafted. Tachini would be honored to make you an authentic Native American drum. His art supplements his efforts to
    revitalize the Salish language
