Ice Fishing Decoy Frog "Frightful Freddie" Hand-carved folk art by Sheila Cates

You are bidding on a fish decoy carved and painted by me, Sheila Cates.  This is a very unusual frog decoy.  Phil and I carve a lot as you all know.  Well we have lots of scrap pieces of wood.  It is a habit of mine the occasional check out some of the pieces looking for inspiration for something new to do.  The piece of wood was much more narrow than my usual frogs bodies but, I could just see this this frog in that wood.
"Frightful Freddie"  is a 5 12 inch frog carved from poplar. He has been lead weighted and swim tested.  His legs are fashioned from copper. He sports custom painted eyes.
